New in Pop-Up Gallery: Otago Harbour Ferries

Our latest exhibition tells the story of Otago Harbour Ferries over the decades - starting from 1848, through to today. Read about the significant ferry services that connected populations across the harbour, the ferries' struggle to counter rail between 1875 and 1899, and ultimately the decline of ferry services from 1946.
